We are excited to announce an opening for a skilled Production Chef to join our talented culinary team. This role is essential for the efficient preparation and production of high-quality, high-volume meals. We are looking for candidates with several years of experience in high-end dining environments, where they have refined their culinary skills. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a fast-paced kitchen and possess a strong passion for the culinary arts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook large quantities of food according to established recipes and quality standards.
  • Ensure all dishes are prepared promptly to meet service schedules.
  • Ensure consistency in flavor, portion size, and presentation.
  • Follow standardized recipes and procedures to maintain quality and cost control.
  • Scale recipes up or down depending on event size or meal counts.
  • Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene practices throughout the kitchen.
  • Monitor food storage and ensure that proper temperatures are met.
  • Work closely with kitchen staff to ensure efficient operations and communication.
  • Assist in training new kitchen staff in food preparation techniques and safety protocols.
  • Track kitchen inventory and assist in ordering supplies as needed.
  • Minimize food waste by utilizing ingredients effectively and creatively.
  • Work closely with front-of-house or event teams to ensure meals are ready for service on time.
  • May assist with plating or buffet setup during service.
  • Address any issues with food quality promptly.

 

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Previous experience as a chef or in a similar culinary role.
  • Culinary degree or relevant certifications preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety practices and kitchen operations.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage time effectively.
  • Team player with excellent communication skills.
